Overview
The Senior Analyst's role is to support strategic distribution of Tiffany Fragrance. This unique Senior Analyst merchandising role blends Replenishment Planning, Demand Planning, and Category Marketing functions while maintaining a critical and effective relationship with the external vendor. The Senior Analyst will maintain productive assortments at the sku/store level, and develop rolling 18-month worldwide sales, inventory, and purchase forecasts in units and dollars. Additionally, the Senior Analyst is to liaise with the vendor to ensure accurate supply and timely delivery of all skus. Acting as a direct liaison to all retail branches and sales organizations, the Senior Analyst is to provide regular stock level analysis and sales support. The role also encompasses preparing and developing category reporting to provide management with timely and accurate information for decision making.
Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst will manage product replenishment for Tiffany Fragrance by analyzing market trends and maintaining product models. He/She will analyze product allocations and make changes to distribution based on inventory constraints, sales trends, merchandising initiatives, or strategic regional needs. He/She will create purchase orders to target country specific needs, while monitoring inventory levels of top selling styles, aiming to maintain Replenishment Planning target availability standards, and communicate recovery plans to regions.
The Senior Analyst will perform assortment analysis and propose recommendations for worldwide assortment changes and improvements to maximize sales and productivity, with space constraints in mind. He/She will partner with Global Merchandising Operations in the development of regional assortments. He/She will manage product lifecycle by conducting reviews and providing direction for discontinued and obsolescence management as needed.
The Senior Analyst will create an 18-month sales forecast and purchase plan for all active, discontinued and new items worldwide by using Logility Value Chain solution software, New Product Planning and Inventory Planning applications. He/she will apply business and marketplace knowledge while maximizing sales of successful items, and minimizing inventory liabilities. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for optimizing sales and inventory turn with a focus on category objectives. He/She will support the success of key items and new product through proactive management of backorders and ensure sufficient inventory levels. He/She will create an 18-month worldwide acquisition schedule for all active and new product, and communicate planned purchases with the vendor on a monthly schedule. The Senior Analyst will collaborate with the vendor to ensure new product target launch dates are met and replenishment purchase orders are prioritized. He/She will communicate changing business needs and identify their impact on manufacturing and procurement.
The Senior Analyst will engage in solution based communication that ensures business needs are met. He/She will partner with Global Marketing to support market initiatives, align on new product launches and product deliverables. He/She will partner with Global Merchandising and retail teams to support product introductions, new store openings and top selling styles through purchase orders, and will communicate scarcity or excess inventory issues.
The Senior Analyst will utilize and share reports which monitor sales trends, inventory availability and accuracy of forecasts. He/She will work to ensure forecasts meet targets and inventory meets turn and ending inventory objectives. He/She will develop ad hoc reports as business needs dictate, including but not limited to focusing on key initiatives and new product.
The Senior Analyst will assist in training and development of Analysts and new hires, where feasible. He/She will share global planning knowledge and experience with outside groups. He/She will provide support, suggestions and be open to process change to improve efficiencies and add value to the business. He/She will propose innovative and creative solutions to conquer business challenges.
