Associate Designer – Home Textiles
Reports to
Senior Designer - Home Textiles
Overview
The Associate Designer will contribute to the creation, development, and execution of own brand product appropriate for the Anthropologie customer.
Responsibilities
• Complete detailed design briefs for all new product development.
• Initiate and complete line plan requirements on a seasonal basis.
• Research and present to Sr Designer and Creative Director new ideas for each season.
• Prep and present concepts with Design team to Buying and Production teams each season.
• Source Globally & Domestically and shop raw materials to develop.
• Chase product closer to season.
• Communicate regularly to Production team and Vendors.
• Attend follow-up meetings for all products and manage workload accordingly.
• Communicate regularly with Buying, Coordinating & Production teams.
• Where necessary travel to factories for development and execution of programs domestic and overseas.
Qualifications
• Outstanding taste level and sense of home and overall design trends.
• Ability to work really well within a team to create the best product that is focused on our customer.
• Ability to respond to business objectives with creative and innovative
design solutions.
• Ability to successfully manage workload efficiently
• Good technical knowledge of lighting for retail customers.
• Natural ability to draw and sketch.
• Strong Computer skills: Photoshop, Illustrator and 3D packages (ideally SolidWorks)
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.

Philadelphia, PA
Travel
Some domestic and international travel will be required.
