Overview
The Senior Manager of Sales and Business Development will drive the field sales team in our Printwear division by developing strategic direction of that team towards growing sales and developing market relationships in their respective territories. This position will also be responsible for bringing strategic vision to new business opportunities. To lead the creation and development of those new opportunities. This position reports to the VP/GM of American Casualwear.

Responsibilities
• Develop strategies to increase sales of base business and new sales opportunities.
• Develop and implement training and retention strategies to assure the ongoing evolution of a well-prepared and sales-achieving sales team.
• Establishes measurable performance attributes for the sales team to be measured against and holds the team accountable to those attributes.
• Plans and executes sales-achieving customer visits through a well prepared presentation of the product lines and establishing strategic dialogue with accounts to close opportunities.
• Develops and demonstrates market-right product knowledge and strong business acumen that establishes self as a collaborative and strategic business partner with internal team members – customer service, inside sales, marketing, merchandising, supply chain, etc.
• Works with direct reports to develop a strategic customer visit calendar that is utilizing resources most effectively with a focus on key accounts as well as new account prospecting.
• Ensure that there is strong account follow up and account communication detailed in CRM system.

• Manage the annual sales budget to ensure the team is traveling and spending efficiently and within budgets.
Qualifications
• BA/BS in marketing, business administration or related discipline. MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in brand and/or product marketing with minimum of 4 years in managerial/decision making capacity.
• Strong leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to deliver financial results through leadership of team.
• Skills in strategy and business development, product merchandising, strong presentation skills, and ability to close a sales opportunity.
• Expert knowledge of apparel marketplace
• Refined oral and written communication skills are a necessity, due to daily contact with all levels of HBI and our customers’ management. The ability to work effectively to drive results with all functional areas and at all levels is a critical part of the position.
• Incumbent must be a team player and have the ability to positively influence constituents. Must exhibit the appropriate sense of urgency at all times and be able to work well under tight deadlines. Must be able to take ownership of stated roles and achieve results. Incumbent must be committed to the highest business and ethical standards as outlined by HBI’s global operating standards and must exhibit this commitment at all times.
