What This Position Is All About:
Under direction of the Director of Events, the Events coordinator is responsible for supporting the execution of Saks Fifth Avenue’s event strategy, maximizing exposure for Saks Fifth Avenue in the local marketplace, and effectively acting as a liaison between Saks Fifth Avenue’s merchant team, vendor community and all Saks Fifth Avenue retail stores.

You Also Have:
• Bachelor’s Degree from a highly regarded college or university
• Ideally 1 year of event-related experience - would consider recent college grad with relevant internship experience
• Relevant event experience in fashion, hospitality, entertainment or retail industries.
• Ability to manage several projects at one time in an organized and highly effective manner. Strong sense of urgency and an ability to problem solve are also critical.
• Key attributes: Creative, resourceful, strong communication, strategic and analytical
• Budget management skills
• Strong skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Google Docs
As The Integrated Marketing Coordinator, You Will:
• Own the coordination, scheduling and budgeting of designer ready-to-wear trunk shows across all Saks Fifth Avenue retail stores.
• Champion the event planning process brands amongst stores, vendors and merchants; streamlining communication for effective planning.
• Conceptualize localized event activations to support National marketing initiatives.
• Assist with national campaigns including focus weeks, company driven selling initiatives and added value programs.
• Support event planning, execution and logistics – e.g. venue sourcing, décor, collateral, catering, branding, etc.
• Collaborate with social media and PR teams (amongst other functional business areas) to create events that are unique to Saks Fifth Avenue’s brand.
• Manage event budgets and seasonal vendor chargebacks for events for all Saks Fifth Avenue retail stores.
• On-site event support (e.g. NY / Downtown Store, Offsite Venues)
