Overview

GIII Apparel Group is currently seeking a DKNY Flagship Brand Manager to join it's New York based retail team.
Job Scope:To drive sales and profit in assigned flagship location(s). This person will manage the assortment, stock, selling services, and training vehicles in partnership with the retail partner. This person will also act as a liaison to the G-III central office to share best practices and communicate needs.
Responsibilities
Sales
• Analyze store business on a daily and weekly basis to react to and adjust presentation based on results
• Improve margin and sell-thru at regular price, monitoring with retail partners. Make suggestions and recommendations based on analytics
• Identify stock and assortment opportunities and manage buy based on trend and selling
• Identify product strengths and opportunities and communication to G-III central team
• Ensure consistent brand positioning and presentation through communication and training
• Collaborate with store executives to ensure all staffing and operational needs are fulfilled
• Elevate selling experience with grass roots events and new ideas
Communication
• Develop relationships with retail partners from store level to central office. Conduct monthly meetings with store management, quarterly meetings at the District/Regional level
• Send daily store recaps to G-III central team outlining assortment wins and misses, stock needs, trend analysis, and store specific call-outs
Training and Development
• Recruit, train, and develop selling specialists who are fully responsible for sales goals and MyClient
• Ensure store goals are communicated, met, and exceeded. Manage results to ensure peak performance
• Coordinate with store to communicate brand direction
• Manage specialist performance and turnover with retail partner management team for best in class selling service
Stores
• Negotiate and interact with retail partners for additional space, staffing, and stockroom needs
• Monitor and react to any operational issues including back of house organization, selling floor recovery or markdown/signing issues
• Take on a leadership role with MyStylist team to share product and brand knowledge
Qualifications
• 3-5 years management experience
• Business Acumen/ Retail Math
• Visual/Merchandising Experience
• Computer Skills-Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook
• Strong Communication Skills- Written/ Verbal
• Full Time/Open Availability
• Department store background preferred
• Experience in Handbags preferred
