The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for copy writing for DTC ecommerce sites, and wholesale ecommerce sites, as well as PEI digital marketing campaigns. This role will work cross functionally with the marketing, e-commerce, and merchandising teams to create copy to attract, inform, and influence web shoppers while maintaining style and brand standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support marketing initiatives with compelling and optimized, content that elicits desired response from consumers, i.e. email marketing, promotional banners, landing pages.
• Craft product descriptions that bridge the gap between delivering practical information and engaging messaging, with attention to grammar, readability, style & accuracy of product information.
• Create ad hoc writing for search objectives, this includes E-Commerce category pages and landing pages.
• Tailor the `tone’ and appeal of content to multiple apparel brands targeting dramatically different audiences.
• Translates product features and details into easily understood and engaging messages
• Facilitate the execution of copy projects outsourced to third party partners to include providing guidelines, meeting all timelines, reviewing requests for complete details, proofreading, and requesting edits.
• Proofs and signs off on copy.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2 -3 years of experience required and familiarity with digital and ecommerce content within the apparel industry is a plus
• Must be a clever, inventive, and curious writer able to make a big splash with a small number of words.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with extreme attention to detail
• Able to multitask and meet project deadlines
• Ability to partner well with cross-functional team members
• Experience with MOZ, SEM Rush, or similar search marketing tools for performing keyword research
