Manager Consumer Engagement, Editorial Content, Estee Lauder, North America
Core Responsibilities:
-Understand the goal, audience, format and message of a campaign, product or event and create copy to suit overall need.
-Write engaging advertising copy tailored to US market for use within media to promote national and / or retailer-specific campaigns.
-Take the lead in crafting compelling content and inventive copy solutions for integrated campaigns that uphold the brands equity.
-Create succinct consumer-centric navigational copy to support in-store point-of-sale visual merchandising across various retailers.
-Develop content with strategic seasonality trends and target audience in mind.
-Translate product plans, roadmaps and strategies into key product marketing messages and communication.
-Work across NOAM cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive campaigns deliver streamlined messaging across all touch points. Participate in cross-functional team meetings to contribute innovative ideas for product launches.
-Partner with Global Copy, Global Consumer Engagement, NOAM cross-functional teams and Agency to ensure integration across omni-channel efforts such as driving online sales and in-store traffic via all media platforms.
-Manage the copy development of digital assets, including social, mobile, display, and video.
-Ensure copy is developed that meets the needs of the North America market and retailers.
-Develop routing process with legal on all necessary approvals including copy and creative content.
-Ensure copy follows social media best practices set by our media partners and corporate marketing.
-Communicate competitive best practices in copywriting and determine which ideas are most effective.
-Identify key drivers across all tactics to optimize language, tone and message for future programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Minimum of 5+ years copywriting experience in the fashion, beauty or retail industry—preferably with experience in digital marketing and in-store point of sale.
-Luxury brand experience preferred.
-Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising or Marketing.
-Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
-Well versed in web writing strategies.
-Exceptional grammar, writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills.
-Meticulous attention to detail with excellent communication and organization skills.
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
-Experience writing and developing content for advertising, direct marketing, promotion or publishing applications.
-Creative problem-solver who finds answers and thinks fast on his/her feet.
-Excellent project management skills, including ability to align internal and external partners.
-Demonstrate strong creative judgment for North American affiliate needs and to recognize engaging, on-brand content (visuals/copy).
-Self-starter and highly motivated – capable of working independently yet collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
-Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be personable yet persistent.
-Talent for building and maintaining good relationships with retail partners, global teams, and key external agencies
-Ability to “dive in,” manage details, and “get it done” in a resource constrained environment
