Senior Designer, Global Store Design, Bobbi Brown
PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:
The Senior Designer will work as part of our in-house Store Design team that partners with Visual Merchandising, Global Creative and Marketing teams in the evolution of new store design concepts and the overall architectural image. He or she will be involved in all functions of the store design department including developing new design concepts and evolving the overall look, feel and functionality of our stores, schematic space planning and interior design, fixture design and detailing, working with regional design centers and handling some administrative duties. Position will take direction from the Global Store Design Director and requires handling multiple projects and job responsibilities simultaneously under tight timelines to support the evolution of our Global in-store experience and brand architectural image.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
•Develops creative solutions for store fixture layouts, prepares architectural plan and elevation proposals for Freestanding Stores, Department Stores, Perfumery and Travel Retail.
•Review and approve architectural plans, elevations and fixture shop drawings for new doors to ensure design details are accurate and in keeping with global brand standards.
•Prepares millwork details for new fixture designs and works with architectural consultants in developing and maintaining the standard fixture library
•Actively researches current trends in global culture, retail design, architecture, fashion, art, furniture and materials. Build and maintain archive of visual inspiration and material samples.
•Creates presentation materials for new design concepts in the form of space flow diagrams, design sketches and renderings, image boards, and material sample collections.
•Main point of contact for North America and Latin America: lead weekly calls with Corporate store planning team, internal project management team to ensure key milestone dates are being met for targeted opening dates.
•Maintains departmental records of final architectural drawings and photographs for each store.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•BA in Interior Design, Architecture, or Industrial Design
•3-4 years related experience
•Excellent ability to conceptualize spatial designs and architectural brand imaging
•Extremely detail oriented
•Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
•Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others
•Superior organizational skills; ability to plan, prioritize and multi-task
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Microsoft office
•Strong 3D design skills: Rhino or other 3D architectural modeling program
