Primary Purpose
Responsible for developing, optimizing and overseeing a global sourcing base that offers industry leading quality, on-time delivery, fair market costs and partnership in a sustainable and compliant business environment. Accountable for assisting on execution of a global sourcing strategy that is in alignment with the strategic goals and financial targets of the Fanatics Apparel organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Assists with commercial and supplier aspects of product development and sourcing projects
• Monitor prototype creation through sample and fit processes to ensure design intent is preserved and prototypes are as accurate as possible.
• Contribute to product commercialization process through providing perspectives to improve the manufacturability of product.
• Give feedback and input regarding the merchandise time and action calendar. • Create, monitor & update vendor KPI’s.
• Provide assistance and updates regarding costing of product.
• Communicate and give updates regarding style allocation to the appropriate vendors on a seasonal basis.
• Work in collaboration with design, quality, development, sourcing, and materials to ensure appropriate country of origin sourcing as well as cut/sew and material synergies.
• Maintain all files, documents and standards in regards to vendor on-boarding, vendor metrics and any other needs.
• Ensure quality is maintained to established Fanatics Apparel standards.
• Coordinate shipping requirements for Fanatics Apparel vendors in alignment with Fanatics Operations (DC) and any other customer compliance needs.
• Work on special projects as assigned
• Tracking purchase orders from time of issuance to receipt, including accuracy of all informational aspects.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelors degree or equivalent in a related field
• 2 years relevant experience in sourcing, development, quality and production
• Knowledge of garment construction
• Working experience with global trade in textiles and apparel sourcing processes
• Experience working with vendors in Asia and South/Central America
• Knowledge of industry standard quality processes/procedures and compliance regulations.
• Ability to introduce and implement new processes and procedures
• Ability to communicate across multiple cultural and experience levels, internal & external
• Strong Computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and necessary systems needed
• Travel required
