Overview
Deliver aesthetically correct samples that meet Design’s vision while supporting Design’s needs and business requirements. Position also requires creating and maintaining files and reports.
Responsibilities
• WIP Report review – review the weekly PD WIP reports sent from overseas agents to ensure all orders are on time and new orders are added to the report each week.
• Product Information sheets – monitor flow of product info sheets, ensuring timely completion and submission.
• Sample orders – order and track shipment of requested photo/press samples ordered upon product approval.
• TOP Tracking – ensure TOP’s are being sent on a timely basis allowing time for comments to be made and deliveries are not jeopardized due to late submission of samples.
• Filing – maintain filing system for PO’s, design line sheets, amendments.
• Packages – open packages related to your product category. Set up any special Fed Ex packages to go overseas as needed.
• Meeting preparation – help prepare samples for meetings; pull approved samples to review against TOPs. Make copies of cost sheets for finalization.
• Meeting attendance – required attending seasonal finalization meetings; weekly design flows. Other meetings as required by supervisor.
• Wash care/Test Results – monitor receipt of all test results from vendors. Print and review results w/ production coordinators for approval of wash care. Maintain results in seasonal binder.
• Customs Spreadsheet set up – monthly set up of the customs spreadsheet for each product classification.
• Finalization preparation – help prepare cost sheets, make copies, etc in advance of seasonal finalization meetings. Attend all finalization meetings.
• Special projects as needed.
Qualifications
• Problem predicting and problem-solving skills that allow for a proactive approach to the business.
• Management and communication skills to work effectively with designers and vendors.
• Organizational skills necessary to handle multiple tasks and reports and complete them within deadlines.
• Ability to think analytically and plan strategically to the needs of the business
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field.
