Overview

GIII Apparel Group is currently seeking an Associate Planner to join it'sLevi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, Dockers, and DKNY Outerwearteam based in New York City!
Responsibilities
• Generate weekly selling reports for all major accounts by brand
• Assist in prepping for all market appointments with wholesale customers
• Create Ad Hoc reporting as needed
• Provide support to the Planner in building Ladder plans, assortment and allocation strategies that achieve sales and profit objectives
• Provide product and store review and analysis with the overall objective of being responsive to developing trends, driving sales and profitability
• Analyze sales performance and stock levels for key categories and classifications, recommend adjustments to future forecasts
• Provide information for the merchandise strategy. Analyzes sales unit performance reports, and incorporates the results into future business decisions.
• Help to develop and support a team environment, and participates in the team’s activities
• Strong problem solving and business acumen
• Strong understanding of Retail math and Open To Buy analysis to minimize gross margin assistance by account
• Study sales trends to forecast margin deficiencies and implement mid-season counter measures
• Assist in generating door analysis reports to monitor top/bottom door performance by major account
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree with a preferred focus in Fashion business management, Mathematics (retail or otherwise), Economics, Psychology, English, or Art
• High proficiency with all MS Office applications, most critically Excel – must have the skills to build out sales analytics reports and clear customer recaps
• Ability to work and succeed in a high pressure environment
• Ability to multi-task, have strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently but also as an integral part of a team
• Strong creative and communication skills
• Candidate must be fast learner with high energy, strong initiative, and desire to learn and grow quickly
