The diversity of our operations has recently created an opportunity for a Manager of Print and Digital Design, located at our Madison Ave. offices. The Manager will create elegant, on-brand collateral for a wide breadth of marketing campaigns. This role oversees design of print and digital to ensure a consistent aesthetic and high standards of design and will report to the Director of Creative Marketing.
General responsibilities include assisting with concept development and art direction for photo shoots, layouts of marketing materials, leading team brainstorms, managing workflow of junior designers and handling pre-press production of all major printed pieces.
Other important projects include the creation and maintenance of brand guidelines, creation of seasonal marketing documents for internal use, direction for seasonal sales/promotions and leading initiatives to inform and inspire both the internal and external customer.
Accountabilities:
• Seasonal catalogs: concept development, layout and design of our most visible and editorial printed pieces
• Advertising: develop consistent standards and innovative solutions for a variety of media
• Direct Mail: partner closely with retail marketing teams to find news ways to engage existing and new customers
• Innovation: constantly grow brand content across multiple channels to align with the seasonal brand strategy
• Education: stay informed of best practices for print and digital techniques, design and fashion trends, new software
Skills/Requirements
• Clean design aesthetic and collaborative mindset
• Great presentation skills and a thirst for knowledge
• Deep understanding of the category and passion for style, typography, design and culture
• Can consider yourself an ambassador and value the rich heritage of the brand
• Ability to work independently while remaining accountable and flexible when taking direction from other teams
• Understand how to balance editorial and business needs
• Can see projects through from conception to execution with animpeccable attention to detail
• Highly proficient in the latest design tools including the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
• Substantial knowledge of photo retouching and color correction
• Experience with animation, After Effects and video not required but a huge plus
• Self motivated, resourceful and approach new opportunities with a positive attitude
