Terrain Brand Specialist - 4801 Bethesda Ave, Bethesda
REPORTS TO: Terrain Brand Manager
EXPERIENCE
• Two to three years of retail leadership experience
• An understanding of the Anthropologie and Terrain culture and its appeal to the local market
• Ability to drive sales through excellent service, strong visual presentation, and a full understanding of the business
• Strong record of developing talented individuals at the sales associate level and above
SALES + PROFITABILITY
• Meets or exceeds sales, payroll and shrink goals. Controls expenses to ensure profitability
• Assesses the business; plans and prioritizes strategies to impact results
• Facilitates sales forecasting, payroll management and supports an effective schedule
PEOPLE + DEVELOPMENT
• Recruits, hires, and retains top talent to build bench for the store and brand
• Recognizes and develops talented individuals for advancement and growth
• Promotes an environment of self-awareness and self- development
• Promotes an environment of collaboration, inspiration and teaching
• Ensures that coaching and counseling is consistent and timely
• Creates a culture of action and accountability
• Plans and executes meetings that are collaborative, educational and motivational
• Conducts weekly touch-bases with direct reports on personal and store growth
• Administers performance appraisals, sets goals and follows up
• Expert on vendor, product knowledge, and trend as it relates to the shop
CUSTOMER CONNECTION
• Cultivates an environment of genuine customer connection
• Demonstrates extraordinary service, leading by example on the sales floor
• Acts as a brand ambassador reflective of the company values and aesthetic
• Understands multi-channel business - implements processes and utilizes tools to better service the customer
• Engages with local community via events and social media platforms
LEADERSHIP
• Builds and maintains productive partnerships
• Communicates company, region and store goals consistently and effectively
• Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
• Possesses strong assessment and decision-making skills
• Executes weekly, monthly and quarterly plans
AESTHETIC UNDERSTANDING + APPLICATION
• Has a strong understanding of trend and style that is reflective of the brand
• Contributes to Green Goods, DBT, stock-to-sales processes and upholds presentation standards
• Supports product placement and DBT build that is reflective of trend, reinforces brand messaging, and inspires the customer
• Collaborates in the sharing of inspiration and idea generation
OPERATING PROCEDURES
• Adheres to and develops awareness around internal and external Loss Prevention procedures
• Adheres to Typical Day / Week guidelines
• Maintains a visually compelling shop that is neat, clean and organized including maintenance and damage of Green Goods product
• Trains and holds team accountable to The Standard
• Upholds all company Policy and Procedure
