Description
NEW PRODUCT & MARKETING PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT:
-Assist in developing and launching new-to-market Colour and Fragrance products and marketing re-support programs:
-Initiate program development by issuing all necessary paperwork
-Clearly communicate project details and objectives to all support groups and regional marketing teams
-Update relevant paperwork and internal systems in a timely manner as changes arise
-Guide all forums for program development (e.g. concept development, cost of goods, formula, packaging, pricing strategy, SKU management, new product forecasts, marketing 360 campaign) to ensure that programs meet strategic and financial objectives
-Along with Director, prepare volume opportunity benchmarks in order to make global forecast recommendations and present size of opportunity to senior management
-Act as point person for cross-functional teams in terms of anticipating, identifying and seeking resolution of developmental and operational issues for Colour and Fragrance products
-Provide affiliates with timely information regarding all calendarized programs, including product lineups, positioning, and pricing strategies. Liaise regularly with affiliate marketing teams to ensure programs meet market needs. Execute special market requests as needed
-Ensure markets’ needs are met in creative assets developed for program launch
-Champion the New Product Launch (NPL) process
-Assist in generating new product, packaging and program ideas to grow category in line with the overall category and brand objectives:
-Analyze internal data, Clinique product portfolio, and marketplace dynamics to recommend new ideas
-Participate in field research and focus groups
-Stay abreast of competitive data and trends to inform Colour and Fragrance categories
-Support strategic vision of the Colour and Fragrance businesses by gathering data, analyzing for patterns and trends, and making recommendations to Director
EXISTING BUSINESS MANAGEMENT:
•Act as key point person for Colour and Fragrance category performance
•Analyze global product performance
•Make line edit and product discontinuation recommendations in partnership with segment Director
•Make recommendations for cost-saving initiatives and value opportunities
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Manage support program development to ensure programs are on time, within budget and meet strategic objectives
•Review routing: package artwork, creative copy, PR releases etc. for accuracy
•Assist in preparation of materials for presentation of marketing plans i.e. Sales Meetings and Regional Roundtable
•Lead by example to create an environment that is encouraging, respectful, and builds team cooperation
Qualifications
KEY ELEMENTS FOR SUCCESS
•2-3 years related experience (marketing, traditional CPG, or finance preferred)
•Must be a self-starter
•Must be able to seamlessly work across multiple projects involving multiple stakeholders and easily adapt to change
•Must be highly detail-oriented with accurate work output
•Must be an excellent team player with the ability to build, foster and nurture relationships with members of cross-functional teams
•Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Must have the potential to assume increased responsibility
•Are resourceful and proactive in identifying problems and finding solutions
•Must have excellent Microsoft skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
