Merchandise Coordinator - Pet, Home, Gift
We are seeking a Merchandise Coordinator for our Pet, Home and Gift division who will contribute to our tradition of exceptional customer service, while supporting the merchandising team to ensure our future success in developing products of the highest quality. This position will provide assistance for the merchandising team in the overall product development process and will be responsible for product information development and tracking. Responsibilities will encompass assisting in the cycle of product development for our multi-channel business. The ideal candidate will be organized, self-managed, and have the ability to “influence without authority” to accomplish goals.

Company Interfaces:
This position reports to the Director of Merchandising located in Sunderland, Vermont. It is an individual contributor role and does not involve supervision of other Associates. This is a non-exempt/ hourly role.
Performance Measurements:
Evaluation will be based on Success Rate % in meeting various Merchandising Development deadlines.
General Responsibilities:
• Maintain production/ merchandising calendars and keep group on-task for meeting accountabilities.
• Attend all Product Development Build and Catalog Build Meetings and accurately create and maintain the Development Files and Line Review Files.
• Load all items for each Catalog in the I series (AS400) IMP system.
• Send out information on changes made to the assortment via a daily Master Change Sheet.
• Prepare for Line Reviews and all product presentations – have all samples, swatches and tech packs available in page order as well as appropriate handouts ready for presentation meetings.
• Review copy for catalog and digital; responsible for follow up on catalog proofing questions at Art Copy meetings.
• Assist in receiving, tracking and turnover of samples
• Set up presentation appointments with key vendors for each season.
• Act as point person with other departments, especially Creative and OMP teams.
Skill-set/ Qualifications Desired:
• Team Player who can interact with many other departments and take the initiative to complete a project
• Proven experience building partnerships and cooperation across multiple departments
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong follow up
• Ability to anticipate and meet deadlines and to work on multiple projects
• Motivation to understand the Product Development process
• Interest in the retail industry; previous corporate retail experience is a plus
• Proven Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Two-year degree in related business field, or equivalent professional experience
