Calling all number crunchers! Warby Parker is searching for an ambitious, dynamic Senior Accountant of Manufacturing to join our Accounting team and support our in-house optical lab. The person in this position will work with different internal and external systems to improve our current lab accounting processes and help our department achieve its overall goals. What you’ll do:
• Assist in monthly closing processes with analyses of needed accruals, asset expense allocation, credit card reconciliation, inventory usage, and much more
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial results and research cost fluctuations
• Record receipt of inventory and support the physical inventory process
• Review weekly AP postings for proper accounting treatment of invoices across accounts and departments
• Ensure financial reporting supports management’s review of operations
• Maintain approved vendor listing for facility purchases
• Coordinate purchasing workflow and payment support
• Help with other reports, analyses, and tasks as needed
Who you are:
• Equipped with 4+ years of professional accounting experience
• Proud owner of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• An Excel guru who’s knowledgeable about financial systems and reporting
• An enthusiastic team player who radiates positive vibes
• Armed with a super-strong work ethic—you’re willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and done right
• Obsessively attentive to detail and focused on data to tell a story
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing your own work schedule, and juggling multiple priorities
• An effective communicator (in person, over email, via carrier pigeon—you name it!)
Extra credit:
• Experience in manufacturing or cost accounting
