Associate Designer - Women's Wovens Off Price

The Associate Designer for Women's Wovens Off Price is responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and creating designs of accessories that will be used to compliment clothing apparels.
Responsibilities
• Open and build all tech packs with precise detailed information
• Flat sketch designs from concept, update sketches as product evolves
• Review sizing and placement of artwork, review lab dips, s/offs and washes for approval
• Bring cohesive, seasonal, thoughtful, brand right, strategic ideas to concept
• Stay aware of evolution of trend, competition and our customer
• Communicate / follow up with overseas offices regarding product in season : includes maintaining and sending updated tech packs
and t nails
• Attend fittings when needed
• Co-present line with designers
• Review SRS with Designer
• Interface/communicate with production, merchandising and product development teams
• Track, check and deliver daily packages from vendors
• Adhere to the calendar
Qualifications
• 2-4 years experience in apparel industry
• Degree in Apparel or Fashion (2-4 year program)
• Experience with CAD, Photoshop and Microsoft Office programs
• Flat sketching skills
• Re-coloring
• Pattern knowledge
• Color sensibility
• Knowledge of the wash/dye process, embellishments and different fabrics
• Presentation skills
• Ability to clearly articulate a point of view
• Effective time management and ability to stay organized
• Able to adapt to a fast pace ever changing environment
