Job title:Sr. Specialist Consumer Marketing
General Summary:The Sr. Specialist, Consumer Marketing is responsible for translating seasonal marketing strategies into effective customer facing campaigns and key moments. This position works closely with the merchant organization and is charged with understanding and translating the product value & trend proposition into stories for DSW customer and prospective customers. The individual will also collaborate directly with all Marketing channel owners to ensure consistency and effectiveness of the storytelling across all channels. Other keystakeholders include creative partners, Photo team, Finance, MP&A and Store Operations. The position requires a person passionate about delivering results with inspiration and influence for on-time, engaging messaging delivery.
Reports to: Manager, Consumer Marketing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Actively participates in the creation and development of marketing campaign moments & key product stories
• Serves as the centralized marketing hub in understanding and presenting marketing executional support across channels in a holistic and impactful way
• Analyzing marketing performance by reviewing performance across online and offline marketing channels and making strategic recommendations to increase marketing performance
• Managing key partnerships including internal merchant and external vendor relationships
• Identifying and prioritizing stakeholder priorities, then bringing them to life through strategic marketing plans
• Driving efficient outcomes by partnering with Marketiing Operations, Finance and Marketing channels to drive strategic marketing plan execution efficiently and effectively
• Continuously strengthening marketing knowledge and staying engaged in the fashion industry and up-to-date on trends
• Supports Manager, Consumer Marketing through seasonal campaign planning to efficiently and effectively achieve campaign execution
Required Skills and Competencies:
• 3+ years of retail marketing experience, preferably in brand of brand organizations or a combination of specialty retail & brand of brands
• Experience in owning/leading at least one marketing channel (e.g., email, paid search, display, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills with a developed sense of how to link actions to business objectives & goals
• Collaborative style that incorporates inputs from merchants, planning & cross-channel marketing partners; strong, data-centric, point of view in finalizing marketing plans & activities
Qualifications
Experience:
• 3+ years in consumer marketing roles for a strong brand with a proven track record in developing and leading marketing plans
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Marketing or Business related study
