Director, Global Strategy, Tom Ford Beauty
POSITION SUMMARY:
On behalf of the Brand President, while working closely with the VP of Global Strategy, this role coordinates key projects and activities for Global Tom Ford Beauty (TFB), with a focus on Brand strategy, conceptualization, and prioritization. Ensuring that systems, processes and people are aligned and integrated to achieve key deliverables and outcomes.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible to lead and assemble major Global brand milestones through the year such as; Innovation, Strategy, Board of Directors presentation and Budget Presentations.
• Strategy: Drive development of brand strategy with the TFB leadership team. Facilitate strategy deployment and creation of strategy action register. Publish brand highlights. Issue monthly regional summaries highlighting progress vs. strategy.
• Leadership: Requires a strategic thinker who can conceptualize, coordinate, and project manage the execution of strategies, develop action plans, and "connect the dots" to achieve the goals and deliver required results throughout the brand. Goals are achieved largely by influencing stakeholders across the functions and leadership team. Share best practices across TFB. Collaborative relationship building is a critical skill.
• Independence of Action and Accountability: Must be an independent achiever who does not require detailed direction or monitoring. Independently plan, organize, set priorities, initiate, and deliver activities on a consistent basis, aligned with VP Global Strategy's direction and the Brand President's vision. Excellence in execution is dependent upon communicating clearly defined purpose, allocating resources, and assigning roles. A high level of learning agility to assess and redirect, to recognize interdependencies and ensure alignment of strategies and activities is required.
• Decision Making: All decisions related to leading this function effectively should align with the strategy of the Global Brand. Represent the VP Global Strategy in key meetings and projects, if necessary.
• Problem Solving: Given the brand scope and complexity of projects, problem solving is a high impact activity. There are usually multiple impacts. Will need to work closely with VP Global Strategy in this area and achieve alignment with Brand President.
• Financial business acumen is a critical requirement. Understanding ROI, financial levers, and the financial impact of decisions and resources on operational activities is critical.
Qualifications
Superb influential leadership and relationship building skills across cultures and with all levels of management with the leadership team, regions, and functions. Requires self initiative and governance and ability to manage competing priorities. Must be a clear communicator with collaborative style. Experience in large scale change management, process design and project management skills.
