The Supply Planning Director will partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Brand Supply Chain to ensure accurate and ongoing procurement of inventory to support the business. Accountable for maintaining a stock equation specific to both the Brand and Category while managing overall inventory levels. Ensure consistency of product flow to support forecast assumptions across the business unit; incorporating base business trends, promotional plans, new launch volumes, planogram changes and seasonal volume. Responsible for understanding and reinforcing manufacturing, marketing and financial processes to link/align with supply planning processes. Work closely with the Demand Planning team to identify and resolve supply disruptions and help to quantify the impact to financials. Update and monitor key performance indicators and diagnostics to ensure ongoing, premium service and prepare written analyses, documentation, reports or other data of a quality requiring minimal supervisory review.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in the area of Supply Chain, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or other quantitative business discipline)
Minimum 7 years work experience preferably within a FMCG industry; minimum of 2 years planning experience
Software Skills: Proficiency with MS Office required, intermediate MS Excel required, advanced Excel required; SAP experience helpful
Working knowledge of:
• Use of quantitative methods to analyze situations and solve business problems
Data management/databases
OLAP tools
Mass market retail environment
Consumer marketing
Supply chain operations
• Must have ability to work cross functionally, build relationships and excel in a team environment
Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities
• Analyze specific trends, new product launches to determine risks & opportunities
Facilitate monthly meetings with Sales, Marketing and Finance to review all Launches and ensure all elements are on track
Perform monthly Procurement cycle to France
Analyze confirmation files to ensure that ordered stock is approved to the target level
Investigate daily/weekly cuts to identify causes and work to rectify
Influences decision making in performance improvement and resolves obstacles
Participate in cross functional project teams, develop best in class stock equation modules
Daily interaction with the BSC in France
Manage a team of Supply Planners to ensure ongoing process improvement and evolution of KPI’s
