Responsibilities
• Develop, drive and influence the business based on sales, history, company, and market trends.
• Drive Planning passes to ensure vision of collection is married to financial plans.
• Partner with Planning to use OTB as a tool to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of competitive pricing positioning. Assign retail pricing formulate/recommend departmental pricing strategies.
• Lead and partner with the cross-functional team to drive results.
• Actively listen to all cross-functional team to drive results.
• Actively listen to all cross-functional team members to ensure that innovative ideas are surfaced. Solicit input from cross-functional team members in decision making.
• Provide timely direction through clear communication to all cross-functional team members.
• Focus is developing, driving, and influencing strategies.
• Creates a 12 month strategy for the department/area of responsibility that aligns to divisional 12 month strategy.
• Responsible for leading the cross-functional teams in aligning to and executing strategies by providing overall context and vision and communication throughout each season. Responsible for presentation of strategies at investment reviews.
• Responsible for seasonal line plan, including growth opportunities at style/class level, prg/cc direction and initial pricing strategies. Responsible for communication and alignment with cross-functional partners. Ties departmental strategies back to division
• Responsible for building assortment in partnership with Design using line plans as a guide. Ties departmental strategies back to division.
• Responsible for style ranking.
• Conduct analysis of competition. Integrates learning’s into business/merchandise strategy.
• Knowledge of outlet channel and off price business.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, advance degree a plus
• 10 + years of merchandising experience
• 3 to 4 years coaching and managing teams and individuals
• Demonstrate deep understanding of competitive pricing positions
• Leading and developing a team of 3-4 direct reports
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
