Design and execute marketing content that meets strategic, business and branding objectives for Vera Bradley’s digital properties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

• Support the Senior Art Director in producing digital marketing material for Vera Bradley and its third-party partners, in order to attract new shoppers and retain loyal consumers
• Produce a wide range of marketing material for Vera Bradley’s digital properties, including e-commerce website, email marketing, third-party advertising networks, catalogs, brochures, postcards, presentations, newsletters, social media and blog
• Collaborate with internal team of designers, marketing managers, copywriters and photographers to achieve milestones on time, and to ensure all communications are consistent with the Vera Bradley brand
• Present concepts that help communicate complex marketing messages
• Prioritize work to meet deadlines and the ability to respond to critical business shifts in the digital world
• Proactively benchmark other ecommerce and content-rich brand websites, both inside and outside of Vera Bradley’s competitive set, to stay abreast of current trends and best practices
• Work independently while leveraging production artists, copywriters, and third-party partners to achieve milestones on time
• Maintain a defined set of graphic standards to protect the Vera Bradley brand image, integrity and consistency internally, publicly and electronically
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Graphic Design with an emphasis on digital design, interactive media or equivalent.
• Experience with digital design and an understanding of HTML/CSS development is a plus, preferably from a retail background
• Online portfolio with work samples that reflect experience and qualifications required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of digital design, branding, customer experience, user interface, information architecture, typography
and color.
• Solid understanding of web standards and best practices
• Ability to produce cross-browser, cross-platform digital layouts from Photoshop concepts
• Technically proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Knowledge of optimizing graphics for various digital displays
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong team player with positive demeanor; comfortable working with multiple functional areas
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage time effectively
• Flexible, adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow through skills
• Basic problem solving skills with the ability to apply proven solutions
