The Senior Manager, Merchandising Operations will be a bond of the China / Global Merchant Team, to have country presence in the Global team, to better cover market needs, as well as to connect / coordinate between global development vs. specific market needs in NY, particularly matching with the new market specific structure in global team.
• Ensure country strategy is inline, synergized with global strategy, protect brand filtering in China Market while succeeding in meeting customer’s special needs
• Support and enhance efficiency & effectiveness on communication as well as on operational execution, follow up on operational works across functions (IM, product integrity, design, sample development, production, VM, marketing, License, Logistic related issues), both strategically as well as operational
• Participate and support in diverse stages of assortment development, line adoption, ranking meeting, production follow-up to streamline seasonal development process and enhance accuracy and efficiency of planning, as well as execution.
• Help download China Assortment Plan to global team, enhance communications in this related on spot
• Ensure market special call-outs are absorbed into global development process, and follow up along the development stages on cc details including styling, color, fabrication, fit, Workmanship and costing
• Ensure development of assortment and its overall structure is in line with seasonal assortment strategy for China Market
• Involve in strategic conversation/work, being responsible for overall success in China Market
• Download and update the newness Global development and strategy to China Team
• Participate global line preparation meeting, reconcile against the seasonal assortment plan of China Market
• Provide details of style information to China Team, prior to seasonal ranking meeting in NY, to enhance effectiveness and accuracy of assortment buy plan
• Participate and support China Merchandising Team during seasonal assortment ranking meeting
• Accountable for engaging and developing the NY Merchandising team including hiring, engaging, performance management, capability/skills development, career development etc.

• Fluent in English.
Minimum Education Level
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
1. Experience Required
• 7-10 years of retail buying or merchandising experience
• Relentlessly commercial and brand focused.
