Gap Inc.’s Supply Chain Product Management team helps identify, evaluate and optimize the Gap Inc. Supply Chain by identifying opportunities, developing solutions, delivering business analytics and improving our processes to operate efficiently and in support of our strategic goals.
The person in this position will be instrumental in delivering omni-channel fulfillment capabilities that become a foundation for our strategic platform across all channels and geographies supporting a fast, efficient, and cost effective global network strategy.
What you get to do in this job:
• Own and drive opportunity assessments, definition development, monitoring and implementation of product capability roadmaps aligned to business strategies and LRP.
• Own defining and partnering with IT and Business Partners across Gap Inc to manage and deliver business capabilities and system solutions. Drive business process changes necessary to simplify and optimize operations end to end across the supply chain.
• Engage and communicate clearly with leaders at different levels on business and technology.
• Forge partnerships with a variety of stakeholders – Operations, IT, Business, Brands, etc.
• Identify key issues, guide and execute analysis, develop conclusions, and present findings to members of the leadership team. Anticipate roadblocks, both intellectual and political, and proactively address issues before they impact business results.
• Lead cross functional projects to support supply chain process optimization end to end. This includes thought leadership, solution innovation and change management identifying process improvement opportunities, key issues, development of conclusions and implementation plans supported with qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Work in a mixed model of both waterfall and agile development and deployment.
• Anticipate upstream and downstream impacts of the project and works with internal business groups to adjust business tools and practices in order to support new features and functionality.
• Communicate product solutions and benefits to customers and stakeholders; including knowledge transfer and training for on-going management of features.
• Collaborate with vendor partners on the solution roadmap; manage key vendor relationships & the product pipeline.
• Mentor & manage a team of product managers for various software solutions.
• Be the main point of contact & own end-to-end delivery of one or more strategic projects.
• Recognition as an expert across Gap Inc – someone who has excellent judgment and whose projects have contributed significantly to the success of Gap Inc. and can successfully champion new initiatives to leadership.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability to think globally/strategically and frame new and complex issues - a serious product manager and thought leader that can make strategic choices and help focus the organization on the most critical and value-added activities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, to prioritize, and adapt to a changing and ambiguous environment.
• Exceptional analytical and creative problem solving skills, strong ability to work with complex and detailed data.
• Proficient at project management and senior management communication.
• Keen ability to form, articulate & even defend a point of view based on data.
• Ability to influence and manage project outcomes to deliver results.
• Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships.
• Strong understanding of Logistics systems including WMOS (Manhattan 2011+ preferable), and WCS/WES with an emphasis of translating and thought leading business capabilities from a technology investment lens.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Decision Science, Operations or related analytical field. Master’s in Engineering or MBA preferred.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain distribution domain utilizing advance material handling equipment (unit sorter, carton sorter, ASRS, put-to-light, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, to prioritize, and adapt to a changing environment.
• 10+ years of experience managing multiple projects in various phases of ideation, execution, or delivery.
