About the role:
The MBA Internship Program at Refinery29 is an opportunity to use your business skills and experience to support the Business Development & Strategy team, playing a crucial role in the success of our organization. Before beginning an internship, you must complete your first year of an MBA program in finance, marketing, or a related area below. The intern will work as an integral member of the team. This opportunity is available on a full-time basis (for the last few months of the summer), or on a part-time basis as part of an Independent Project or course-credit program during the second-year fall semester.

About the role:
The Analytics Manager is an integral part of the Audience Insights & Marketing team and will own the design and implementation of our digital analytics solutions, data mining and visualization tools. This critical role will work in partnership with analysts to translate content creators’ and marketers’ reporting needs into a measurement strategy, data collection requirements and powerful dashboards with the highest levels of data integrity.
What you’ll do:
• Collating, synthesizing, and analyzing relevant quantitative & qualitative data to help R29 craft and optimize its strategy with regard to major platform partnerships
• Performing market analysis to identify top performing peers and strategies with respect to major partners
• Support team in outbound communications, working with cross department stakeholders to create communications & marketing materials, and project manage time sensitive deliverables
• Creating presentations for senior leaders around major company initiatives and revenue goals
• Supporting team in sourcing new business development opportunities
• Help to qualify potential BD opportunities by conducting due diligence around new opportunities, including but not limited to competitive analysis
• Manage a system for tracking deals at each different level, including creating deal summaries
• Attend relevant internal and external meetings, and derive major takeaways
• Manage day to day requests from team as needed
What you have:
• 2+ years in management consulting, banking, or similar industry
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Ability to produce and structure presentations effectively
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Extremely organized and deadline-oriented
• Proficient in keynote (preferred)
• Familiarity with the digital media landscape (preferred)
• Passion for the brand and mission of Refinery29
