Description
The ED, International Operations is responsible for leading the operation and control of the IT infrastructure (typically hardware, software, data stored on various media, and all equipment within regional and local area networks) and SaaS, PaaS and IaaS services located in region residing in the cloud that are required to meet the needs of the Region and Affiliates. This includes preparation for new or changed services, operation of the change process, management of systems and components in virtualized computing environments and the monitoring of performance of systems and services in relation to their contribution to business performance, their security and their sustainability. They will assist the Agile CoE and regional SBPs in the migration of applications and services from traditional application development and management processes to a DevOps Agile model utilizing micro-services and component based architecture.
• Provides leadership to ensure the correct application of operational procedures.
• Oversees the use of network management tools to determine network load and performance statistics.
• Ensures appropriate planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work, including building and management of systems and components in virtualized computing environments.
• Directs the implementation of infrastructure changes and maintenance routines are carried out within the agreed standards and SLAs.
• Ensures operational problems are identified in a timely manner.
• Manages the regional infrastructure budget and provides reports and proposals for improvement.

• Has a broad and deep understanding of regional areas; primary area of expertise is global IT Infrastructure; secondary area of expertise is forming, leading and managing a DevOps function
• Critical to have background in Agile Development and cloud technology to effectively integrate infrastructure strategy with development environment
