Director, Sales -DTC - Spyder
Specific Responsibilities

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Ecommerce will be accountable for driving the strategy, development, implementation, and continued improvement of the Spyder Ecommerce experience. Most importantly, this role will be responsible for being accretive to both the top and bottom line growth of the P&L. Additionally, this role works cross functionally with Marketing, IT, Operations, Finance, and Customer Service teams to strategize, plan, execute and create synergies across online, mobile, and social platforms. This position requires a combination of analytical, creative and strategic thinking, along with management, in order to oversee revenue goals while staying ahead of industry and channel trends.
This role reports to the VP of Sales.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Oversee global e-commerce sales and continually improve all web KPIs and metrics; leverage an analytics-driven approach to increase the impact to online sales
• Manage the annual operating and capital budgets in conjunction with the Executive Leadership Team for ongoing web development and maintenance, as well managing the professional relationships with any third party providers.
• Lead any and all new project implementations from start through completion of new site and all associated integrations
• Oversee variable marketing spend with strategic approach to managing high ROI (paid search, display advertising, retargeting, and affiliates)
• Support and facilitate Spyder's direct-to-consumer strategy that enables the channel to be the main brand, product, and ambassador hub for the end consumer to engage with the brand
• Align with marketing and create a strategy to utilize social media as a funnel to drive consumer engagement and revenue
• Introduce new ways to drive traffic to the dealer locator
• Develop sales and unit forecast in collaboration with Sales and Operations
• Maintain Google shopping feeds
• Optimize and maintain Google Analytics tagging and enable website and order flow automation where possible
• Execute A/B testing to optimize conversion, AOV and UPT
• Oversee enhancements to the core e-commerce application and related peripheral systems, including integration, maintenance and support
• Communicate technical requirements to engineers and manage delivery timelines and costs
• Ensure all e-commerce practices are aligned to the marketing strategy; including taxonomy and user flow of e-commerce pages relating to content pages
• Collaborate with marketing team to build effective e-commerce emails that enhance Omni-channel strategy
• Provide weekly executive report for e-commerce KPIs
• Understand developing e-commerce technology trends, evaluate business opportunities and recommend new website products for the company
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree in business, marketing, operations, computer science or information technology or related field required
• Minimum of 10+ years experience in e-commerce for consumer products company (preferably a lifestyle brand)
• Experience managing budget of $10M or more annually
• Experience overseeing e-commerce sales of $10M or more annually
• Ability to build budgets, forecast appropriately and manage expenses
5+ years experience managing CloudCommerce e-commerce platform (formerly Demandware)
Skills and Requirements
• BA/BS degree in business, marketing, operations, computer science or information technology or related field required
• Minimum of 10+ years experience in e-commerce for consumer products company (preferably a lifestyle brand)
• Experience managing budget of $10M or more annually
• Experience overseeing e-commerce sales of $10M or more annually
