The diversity of our operations has recently created an opportunity for a Director, E-Commerce Digital Strategist. Digital Commerce Strategist is responsible for leading the strategic development and sales growth of The Brooks Brothers North America and International websites/mobile app. This role requires a proven track record in leading and evolving e-Commerce businesses through driving innovation in technology, engaging content, developing people and teams, displaying financial acumen, and implementing partnerships across operations, merchandising, and digital marketing. Digital Commerce Strategist reviews site/app analytics and implements initiatives to optimize sales by increasing conversion and decreasing site abandonment. Revolutionize the consumer experiences across Mobile Site/App/Desktop and Tablets. This position reports to the VP, E-Commerce and will be responsible for implementing new campaigns, maintaining existing campaigns, driving strategies for more agile/sophisticated testing and the development of differentiated inline shopping experiences for unique customer segments, incorporating emerging Omni-channel capabilities (E.G. Mobile.)
Key Accountabilities:
• Optimize sales, profit and consumer experience metrics for Brooks Brothers North America / International sites in conjunction with creative and marketing teams and driving day to day execution of strategies, promotions, tactics and campaigns.
• Manage DTC expense budgeting and forecasting along with vendor relationship.
• Provides consistent and effective leadership and mentorship to advance the skills, coordination and overall effectiveness of cross-functional teams.
• Develop and optimize differentiated online shopping experiences for unique customer segments, incorporating emerging omni-channel capabilities (e.g. mobile) or based on targeted online marketing campaigns.
• Develop testing roadmap to include a variety of test designs with clear and measurable business objectives. Test design competencies include UX, A/B testing and multivariate testing.
• Analyze current and past trends, monitor performance indicators, highlight trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances. Perform appropriate competitive analyses, benchmarking and research to drive solid ROI analysis and recommendations.
• Provides leadership to cross-functional teams during the entire lifecycle of product development, including deployment and post-deployment activities. Proactively identifies problems that arise in the project, outlines options, recommends solutions, and escalates as needed.
• Anticipates upstream and downstream impacts of the project and works with internal business groups to adjust business tools and practices in order to support new features and functionality.
• Creates supporting business case, including financial impact and benefits statements, to support feature/functionality concepts and sell the concepts to internal audiences through persuasive oral and written presentations.
Skills/Requirements
Preferred
Experience& Technical Proficiencies:
• Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred
• 5-7 years as a digital commerce strategist working on digital consumer-facing applications
• 3+ years ECommerce experience, optimally with mobile and omni-channel focus
• Expertise and proven success in translating business strategy and analysis into a successful consumer product.
• Energized by new product development and implementation
• Ability to self-organize multiple tasks and to complete them on time with a clear focus on quantitative results
• Demonstrated bias for action with strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts (at the functional level), schedule trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with technical employees
• Create reporting and dashboards for key metrics to illustrate progress against goals and report to management on weekly/monthly basis. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills preferred
• High level of intellectual curiosity and can successfully operate in ambiguity
• Ability to put team before self and be energetically collaborative
• Compelling and effective at communicating and influencing outcomes with and presenting to executive management
