POSITION SUMMARY:
The Solution Analyst works with stakeholders from all business units and related third parties to define and document business needs, processes and software requirements for technology initiatives, including online products, content management systems, and business information systems using agile methodologies including wireframing, user stories and other techniques to validate understanding. Collaborates with technical teams to prototype, build, test and deliver the solution.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Define the business problem and primary objectives of new projects. Identify and validate the key business requirements.
• Analyze and model the business domain to create a complete picture of process workflows and technical requirements fulfilled by existing and proposed software.
• Lead cross-functional business process re-engineering teams and continuous improvement efforts as required.
• Evaluate potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open source components, and the system architecture to ensure that they meet business requirements.
• Create functional requirements in use cases. Coordinate requirements walk-through and sign-offs, verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray specific business needs.
• Contribute to project plans.
• Participate in testing and implementation activities to ensure attainment of desired system enhancements.
• Analyze and monitor implementation of business rules through review of documents which include business requirements, design documents, test plans and other specification documents.
• Represent GIS with the business and within the wider GIS where required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum Education level: College degree; Graduate degree preferred: Business, Finance, marketing or relevant field
• Minimum Years of Experience: 5-7 years
• % Travel Time: <10%
• Required Language Proficiency: English
• Licenses or Certifications: Agile accreditation, UXD (preferred)
