BUSINESS / LOCATION
New York & Company – Brand Headquarters
OVERVIEW:
Responsible for providing support to the ECommerce Planning & Merchandising team by building merchandise assortment strategies that achieve sales and profit objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct daily, monthly, quarterly and seasonal sales reporting; provide selling recaps
• Develop and execute item-level promotional and markdown strategies on a daily/ weekly basis
• Work directly with Allocation Planner(s) on managing size breaks, tracking orders and managing inventory levels
• Assist Planning and Merchandising teams with weekly and ad hoc merchandise and sales reporting
• Create and generate reports, analysis and scenarios to drive inventory strategy decisions, understands trends and facilitates Planning team daily deliverables
• Participates as a functional planning representative on cross-functional project teams as assigned, supporting timely project completion and communicating action items; provides updates to larger team
• Support promotions process by entering promos into the promo entry system and providing recommendations on go forward promotions (in partnership with Planners)
• Support ad hoc projects and reporting as needed

Required Experience:
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1-2 years of Merchandise Planning experience
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Advanced excel skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks / projects
• Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast paced environment
EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
