Job Responsibilities:
Product expertise, development management and competitive analysis
• Develop Seasonal Merchandise Plans that outline the assortments for multiple channels of trade and brands based on the business strategy. This includes carry over and new development.
• Work with team to implement merchandising plans and execute development adhering to timeline.
• Manage style/sku counts throughout the development season to plan and keep assortments on track with style/sku goals.
• Collaborate, prepare for and drive and recap key milestone Merchandising/Design meetings (design concept, midline, final etc.) as well as and weekly product team meetings department (PTM, etc.).
• Communicate with Merchandising Director, Sales, Design, Sourcing, production, TD and business planning as needed to facilitate forward progress of development status for all brands according to timeline.
• Shop and understand retail landscape for all brands and tiers of distribution.
• Research, prepare and present both seasonal and adhoc competitive analysis to understand the competitive landscape, pricing, identify opportunities for KR.
IGP’s
Product pricing strategy, analysis and execution to meet the financial goals of the business.
• Create & maintain seasonal IGP sheets for all brands.
• Ensure product assortments presented to retailers meet approved merchandising plans and profit requirements.
• Understand cost drivers and collaborate with Merchandise Director, Sourcing, PD, Design, BU leader to manage and balance IGP to resolve issues in a timely manner. Consistently look for ways to improve the overall IGP.
• Collaborate with functional partners to leverage internal capabilities and leverage resources.
• Participate in standard cost updates for KR and sourced product assortments.
Sales Samples and Selling tools
• Create, maintain and execute all sales sample orders.
• Ensure samples orders are received and completed per timeline.
• Create product boards and other necessary materials for internal KR meetings and Sales presentation meetings as necessary across all businesses.
• Work with PD and sourced vendors to insure samples are finalized and shipped according to timeline.
Execution
• Enter PLM data that falls under merchandising responsibility such as merchandising plan, organize dpacks, etc. according to timeline. Ensure information in PLM is updated on a timely basis throughout the product life cycle.
• Complete merchandising review of dpacks to ensure that timeline goals are met. This includes brand, sub brand info, target costs, pricing and any information needed for line lists.
• Create line sheets for all businesses and hand off to business planning according to the timeline.
Workload Management
• Ability to handle fast paced office environment while effectively completing all necessary functions.
• Balance and re-prioritize responsibilities while still completing tasks on timeline.
• Incorporate rush, off timeline or off process initiatives into workload while still maintain all other projects according to timeline.
• Ability to work more than 40hrs a week as needed.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Update manager as to status of workload with an action plan as to timing to complete.
Required Skills:

• Understanding of retail across all classes of trade
• Great communication and interpersonal skills, over-all creative ability
• Detail orientation with strong follow up and organizational skills
• Financial acumen to understand sales and pricing
• Strong presentation and meeting facilitator skills
Required Experience:
Required Education/Training:
• BS/BA preferred Merchandising Apparel and/or Legwear
• 5 years of experience Apparel Merchandising
• Experience in the Mass/mid-tier/Department Store channels
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
