Learning and Development Coordinator: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
As the Learning and Development Coordinator you will have the great responsibility to build new, enhance existing, and evaluate talent development and learning programs to grow our leaders and associates. As we evolve our learning culture, you will lead a variety of learning, organizational effectiveness, and performance management programs and projects throughout the Corporate and Retail divisions of Vans, and other VF Partners as needed. You will be responsible for ensuring consistency with Organizational Effectiveness & Performance objectives, maintaining appropriate records, evaluating effectiveness and impact on the business, and making recommendations for what to start, enhance, replace, and stop. Your work will support our Vans family members in pursuing and achieving their career goals to positively impact creative expression of our consumers across the globe.
How You Will Make a Difference:
You will own the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Organizational Effectiveness and Performance programs. Manage preparation and execution of talent development programs which includes: preparing and distributing training materials, handouts, evaluation forms and visual aids, as well as scheduling training sessions, ensuring facility and audiovisual set-up, registration/attendance confirmation, and maintaining attendance records. You will have the opportunity to assist with creating new programs; review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed programs. You will help facilitate leadership development curriculum, as well as other courses as needed. You will assist with learning needs assessments and determine action plans as well as conduct research and evaluate various vendors for specific needs. Conduct research and evaluate various vendors for specific learning needs. Assess training ROI in terms of employee accomplishments, performance, and business impact. You will maintain and enhance the performance management, including project management, communication, training, and reporting. Recommend appropriate changes. Design and create e-learning modules. Assist with various Organizational Development and Human Resources initiatives. Build and maintain effective relationships at the corporate office, in the field, and across VF.
Educational/Position Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; AND 3-5 years of professional experience, of which a minimum of 2 years must be in training, development or related Human Resources area.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Excellent Project Management skills.
• Function independently (multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment) and within a team.
• Extremely detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through.
• Effectively prioritize work in support of multiple programs and projects.
• Clear oral communication - public speaking, presenting to executives, and moderating large groups.
• Demonstrated written communication, including creating training and corporate communications.
• Possess a balance between analytical and creative thinking skills.
• Strong technical proficiency including Microsoft Office, Photoshop/Adobe Creative Suite, Instructional design software, and HRIS software; Articulate proficiency a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Prior LMS admin experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of the actions sports industry a plus.
• Experience working in the retail/fashion industry a plus.
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
• Minimal travel, approximately 5%.
