Overview
Foot Locker, the world's leading retailer of athletically inspired shoes and apparel, is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist. The Employee Relations Specialist will report into the Employee Relations Manager and will work with various business partners across the United States. This individual will serve as an in-house resource and provide support to the Employee Relations team. Responsibilities
• Support Employee Relations (ER) Managers in working with various departments to assure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory guidelines (e.g. EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, NLRB, etc.)
• Ensure poster compliance for all Stores/Corporate facilities across North America
• Monitor organizational employee relations trends that will assist ER Managers in designing proactive strategies to improve employee relations across North America store teams
• Utilize the on-line case management system to document Employee Relations cases
• Research, plan, and prepare quarterly educational conference calls
• Manage quarterly Fair Employment compliance distributions
• Coordinate all field training
• Develop monthly Employee Relations Chat publication
• Provide research and support to ER Managers/Sr. Director on various employee relations projects
• Maintain online policy manual
• Monitor and assign employee relations calls, hotline voicemails and faxes throughout day
• Manage and respond to unemployment claims/appeals via Casebuilder system
• Work with the Fair Employment team to ensure fair treatment to all of our associates at all levels
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline required
• 1-2 years knowledge and experience in general HR preferred
• Ability to analyze statistical data
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, time management, and problem solving skills
• Demonstrating an ability to work with confidential information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated experience working effectively and accurately in a high volume fast paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Capable of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with all levels of the organization
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
