About the Role:
We’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator to help grow the Refinery29 audience and work closely with our internal and external content partners. The person will work in lockstep with teams throughout the company to execute creative marketing campaigns and partnerships. Our data-driven insights and marketing team has a passion for editorial content and is extremely organized and analytical. This role requires a natural passion to connect with the broader cultural and social media world, live in it day-to-day, and drive audience conversion on Refinery29’s key channels.

What you’ll do:
• Work closely with editorial and photo team to illustrate various stories across the site
• Assemble creative teams for photo shoots (photographers, hair/makeup, stylists, and others as needed).
• Conceptualize, commission, produce and art direct photo shoots, coordinate shoot timelines and locations, negotiate and track photo shoot costs.
• Work with legal team to request COI's and fulfill and update all contracts in R29’s contract management system
• Assist other Photo Editors in any production needs, resize images for web, collaborate with Design teams on story layout
• Recruit and manage seasonal interns
What you have:
• A strong understanding of photography, exhibit wealth of photographer knowledge
• Have ample production and on-set experience and experience working with agencies/studios
• Must be organized self-starter and able to work in a collaborative team environment
• Must have a positive and engaging work ethic, exhibit a positive attitude when being forward-facing with superiors and coworkers.
• Must be well versed in Photoshop
• Minimum 2 years editorial/production/magazine experience
