THE PURPOSE:
Manage the sportswear product development / production cycle from inception of Sketch to in house delivery. Oversee upstream development inputs, ie Tech packs, fabric & lab dip approvals and wash standards are complete and on time to meet larger GTM market calendar deadlines and dates. Focus on development product life cycle with Design and Merchandising teams within cost parameters. Additionally, create and distribute WIP reports, keeping all relevant stakeholders informed of changes and deliverables. Communicate and collaborate cross- functionally and contribute to a positive and productive culture.
THE ROLE (what you're accountable for)
• Manage product development life cycle from inception of sketch through production life cycle for Women’s/Men’s Sportswear collection to meet GTM calendar deadlines for seasonal styles and Chase special programs.
• Assist with Pre-production sourcing fabrics, trim and garment development as well as proto tracking
◦ Maintain an FDS libraries , input FDS into Full Circle with content & cost
• Create and manage WIP report for development tracking and Proto garment delivery i.e. Pattern, sew-by, tech pack, graphic artwork sheets, wash standards are ready for first proto delivery. Provide status reports to direct manager keep and all relevant parties of deliverables.
◦ Transfer design ideas onto development briefs, which specify the material, color, and construction of each piece.
◦ Initiate / Maintain BOMs in tandem with Design
• Partner with the Design team for product development approvals, i.e. trim approvals, artwork approvals etc. Communicating approvals to vendors in a timely time frame
• Continue WIP from Development tracking through production. ie Fabric quality approvals, lab dips , bulk submits and wash.
◦ Establish Time and Action calendar (tracking WIP) for overseas factories to ensure that all the goods meet delivery and quality standards. Push weekly updates from factory.*
• Drive daily development process through communication with global vendor base throughout product’s life cycle. Actively highlight development issues and propose resolutions to meet deadlines and make product Production-friendly
• Initial Costing and partner with internal teams to engineer products within cost parameters
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure upstream inputs align with vendor communication and GTM deadline dates
• Track internal development milestones to meet larger GTM calendar ; Request / Place POs / Track all seasonal SMS
• Attend all fittings
• Own seasonal Production validation meetings.
• Builds and maintains intradepartmental relationships with all functional areas.
• Understands overall production management process
• Data entry for POs & compilation of weekly production reports
• Communicate and follow-up with overseas vendors and buyers to relay progress of goods stats

REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 3-4 years fashion/ apparel industry experience.
• Strong organizational / project management skills along with excellent oral and written communication ability.
• Adept with data management with a Product Development system, preferably Full Circle.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.
• Record of accomplishment within a fast-‐paced, deadline driven environment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Fashion industry experience, preferably in Premium denim.
• Experience with Import communication.
• Adept with Full Circle or other apparel software systems.
