Senior Director, Product & Marketing Strategy (North America)

Foot Locker, Inc. is looking for Senior Director of Product & Strategy for our North American team. We are a leading global athletic footwear and apparel retailer, which caters to the sneaker enthusiast - If it’s at Foot Locker, it’s Approved. We offer the latest in athletically-inspired footwear and apparel, manufactured primarily by the leading athletic brands in over 3,300+ stores in 24 countries.

Foot Locker, Inc. is looking for a strong team player who will visualize, create and drive innovate key business, product, marketing concepts and strategies within our Marketing department. This position reports to the VP, CMO, whom you will work closely with to strategize, along with the North American team on long term development of brands and ideas.
Responsibilities
• Strategize with the North American team on long term development of brands and ideas
• Conceptualize broad ideas into structured business plans as well as develop key financials against them.
• Ideate with both internal and external partners on scalable brand concepts that can be brought to life across one or multiple North American brands
• Partner with both internal Foot Locker, Inc. brand partners and external partners on new initiatives
• Partner with vendors to develop new product strategies and concepts
• Translate the voice of the consumer into actionable strategies with tangible business implications
• Develop broad thoughts into actionable, structured briefs
• Establish financial models against the brief
• Laisse with internal functions on plan (Legal, Marketing, Strategy etc.)
• Develop and manage relationships with both current and future brand partners
• Serve as a liaison between corporate strategy team and North American product team on all corporate and NA initiative
• Drive key special projects as directed
• Partner on integration with corporate strategy teams
• Manage Greenhouse partners by advising on concepts, leveraging existing resources, and offering feedback
• Elevate customer experience by experimenting with novel, disruptive distribution methods that trigger vital consumer touch points including content, convenience, connectivity, and community
• Interface with agency partners to navigate, pressure-test, and execute new bold, unique marketing concepts
• Track and report valuable quantitative and qualitative insights that shape future initiatives
• Work with the North American team to develop long term strategies
• Liason with corporate on cross over initiatives
• Partner with IT and digital partners on NA strategic initiatives.
• Own and drive marketing programs across all channels when relevant externally
• Continually monitor emerging trends and moments across youth culture to facilitate connections to the next generation of creators, brands, and technologies
• Contribute to Foot Locker, Inc.’s brand repositioning as the global leader in driving youth culture forward
• Develop and drive marketing programs reflective of brand strategy
• Maintain files on vendor spending and provide analysis as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree required, MBA highly preferred
• 10+ years of professional experience in marketing
• Intermediate to Advanced skills in Powerpoint, Excel, Word
• Experience working cross-functionally in a fast paced and lean environment
• Entrepreneurial attitude and creative thinking to develop innovative, outside-the-box strategies
• Strong knowledge of and passion for sneaker, streetwear culture, fashion, sports, music, art, and technology
• Connections to creators, brands, and retailers across youth culture
• Established credibility in the sneaker community
• Strong analytical skills to capture and report on consumer and market insights
• Ability to convey creative ideas in a professional, clear and concise way to peers and upper management.
• Strong project management skills
• Strong collaborator, team player & leader
• Brings a positive attitude and excitement fort he work being done.
• Ability to prioritize and work in a multitude of ongoing projects at the same time while meeting tight deadlines.
