What This Position Is All About:
HBC seeks a visionary, with a proven track record of organizational leadership and innovation at the highest levels of the fashion and retail industries. Reporting to the President of Lord & Taylor, VP, Strategy & PMO is responsible for building, implementing and overseeing the business unit’s strategic plans, general procedures and project management initiatives.
Who You Are:
The ideal candidate will:
• Have strong experience in either the fashion, consumer retail industry, or held senior positions within a strategy role
• Be passionate about retail, a cultural innovator and a leader in the industry to help us reinvent why consumers go to retail
• Have a strong strategic orientation, excellent communication skills, and will be comfortable innovating and inspiring
• Need to be a strong collaborator and influencer with all levels of the organization, including executives
• This is a high visibility role and requires a motivated individual with a sense of ownership and demonstrated high performance in previous roles.

• Understands banner positioning and strategy thoroughly; has solid competitive knowledge
• Can develop strategic plans, with the support of the leadership team to develop and drive business results
• Proven ability to inspire, collaborate with, and influence business partners
• Proven ability to navigate and succeed in a highly matrixed organization
• Proven ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights
• Able to represent the voice of the customer in strategic business discussions
• Track record building effective relationships with internal and external partners
• Strong understanding of retail, commerce, and consumer experiences
• Makes quality decisions and creative problem-solving solutions in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Strong ability to mobilize resources and manage-up to execute initiatives, resulting in measurable impact
• Can collaborate, influence and build strong relationships at all levels
• Strong critical thinking and decision making skills
• Excellent PowerPoint and strong Excel skills
• A positive, can-do attitude, driven and determined to achieve goals
• Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• 8+ years of Management experience; Extensive retail experience with a minimum of 3 years senior-level responsibility
• Bachelor's degree from top tier undergraduate institution
As the Vice President, Strategy & PMO, you will:
Strategy & PMO:
• Partner with the President and Executive team of Lord & Taylor in developing initiatives to support the evolution of the business, drive results and reach our customers
• Use data and analytics to inform decisions and develop best practices and new ideas
• Conduct business analyses to support strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with Banner partners and COE partners in the execution of all project and initiatives
• Lead the Lord & Taylor’s Operating Committee meeting in preparing the agenda and materials that are relevant for the meetings
• Partner with the President and Senior Leadership team to develop materials for meetings with the Executive Committee, CEO and Chairman of Hudson’s Bay Company; as well as develop materials for quarterly Board of Directors Meetings
• Owner of all key strategic projects from inception, to execution, follow through and follow-up
• Support ongoing administration of the business unit (e.g., development and approval of policies)
• Research and present customer insights to the leadership team to inform on-going decisions
• Design and implement quarterly meetings with the entire Lord & Taylor organization
• Develop and manage associates engagement activities for the Lord & Taylor Corporate team
• Draft communications from senior leaders to the organization in partnership with Internal Communications team
• Develop cross-functional partnerships and relationships to support key strategic initiatives as needed
• Support with ad hoc activities as required
Collaboration & Communication:
• Acts as the go-to person for the Banner related to all strategic work supporting the banner initiatives
• Fosters and develops effective working relationships and monitors/manages internal expectations on all projects
• Prepares and presents ongoing performance reviews - successes, KPIs, and areas for improvement
• Works cross functionally with leaders of the company to ideate towards the evolving retail landscape
• Tirelessly champions the company brand story internally, within the banner umbrella, and with all external stakeholders
