Responsibilities
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency on the North America Buying team to...
• Assist the buyer with identifying future product opportunities, trends, and offerings which will impact the business across both shopping channels: stores and ecommerce
• Responsible for sku set up and maintenance including but not limited to, defining items, generating purchase orders, inputting markdowns
• Track purchase orders and vendor inventory files in an excel document to ensure timely delivery of merchandise
• Ensure all style information and pricing is accurate on the assortment list, acting as a lead for managing the list
• Analyze and present weekly category/vendor sales data to identify trends and themes within the business during the weekly Buying team meeting
• Use sales reporting to develop an in-depth understanding of product performance and customer base to develop action plans
• Thoroughly analyze sales data, market and seasonal trends to assist the buyer with merchandise decisions
• Analyze current sales trends, shipments, and inventory levels to partner with planning and allocation in order to react to business appropriately
• Partner with cross functional teams to aid in the development and implementation of merchandising strategies including licensing, design, ecommerce, visual, and operations teams
• Develop and maintain relationships and follow-throughs with cross-functional teams and vendors
• Identify key items or vendors to highlight for internal seasonal weekly email calendar; communicate recommendation to the appropriate teams
Qualifications
The accomplished individual will possess...
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-3 years’ experience as a merchandise assistant or assistant buyer
• Proficient in retail math and excel
• E-commerce experience a plus
