The Distribution Operations Coordinator will plan, monitor, maintain and communicate order flow and distribution analytics within the Distribution Center. This position will report to the Operations Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Engage operational leadership, partner departments and production associates by identifying, communicating and maintaining service levels, quality expectations and productivity
• Monitor and maintain inbound and outbound flows in the distribution center through the use of DC automation and systems.
• Analyze wave and task configuration to maximize efficiency and develop new strategies and rules that improve DC flow and performance.
• Provide leadership and support to operations by serving as a functional subject matter expert for warehouse management and warehouse control systems
• Assist and support IT and Engineering resources in the configuration and testing of WMS and WCS
• Develop, execute and maintain metrics and reporting for all areas through use of queries, Access, Excel, and other software applications
• Effectively move between operational areas and apply experience and skills to support business needs
• Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all roles in the distribution environment
• Waving and tasking experience with a tier 1 WMS
• Advanced experience with operational reporting tools including development, execution and maintenance using queries, Access, Excel and other software applications
• Strong interest and abilities in data mining & retrieval, organization, analysis and directional presentation of results.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business manuals and instructions
• Strong written and verbal communications skills in personal and group settings
Experience:
• 1-3 years hands on experience with WMS (Manhattan preferred) and WCS software
