Finance Director, North America Retail Channel
PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:
Directs the accurate and reliable financial and KPI data to base business decisions on for the North America retail channel. This person partners with the Finance Business Managers, Regional strategy team and the Global Retail channel team to help set the strategic direction of this channel.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Support the strategic planning, budgeting and monthly estimate process for the Retail Channel. Oversee the financial performance of FSS including Cosmetic Company stores.
•Produce and manage productivity, sales, and operational KPIs / performance metrics to maximize investment opportunities and drive year over year improvement. Provide strategic analysis and recommendations for action
•Support the execution of business planning and analysis to deliver regional goals and review of business performance. Support leadership team to identify trends and deviation. Provide all necessary information to support decision making process & solutions
•Analyze Door profitability and compare to Estimate, Budget and prior years. Identify improvement opportunities and work with Brands to implement required changes
•Put in place new door post mortem Analysis
•Work with Store design to drive down the Capital cost of new and renovated doors
•Provide financial analysis and support for the development & implementation of retail systems (ROS)
•Provide financial analysis and support for Work Force Management by acting as the finance liaison
•Implement and formulate a Financial long-range real estate strategy (3 to 5 years rolling)
•Forecasting the financial impact of new door openings, lease renewals and impacts of renovations, relocations and/or closure
•Monthly detail sales forecasting inclusive of driving the FSS monthly bonus plan
•Analyze FSS returns and work with brands on returns improvements
•Lead the development of Regional Brands FSS P&Ls to improve profitability
•Deliver additional analysis on the key performance drivers to understand gaps to plan and business risks & opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
• College degree required
• 8-10 years’ experience ideally within retail finance
• Broad understanding of the annual budget and estimate processes.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Self-starter and ability to work independently
• Good team player. Ability to collaborate and communicate cross functionally (multi brands).
