Title Ecommerce Business Planner
Overview
Anthropologie is hiring a Business Planner to lead the financial forecasting and analysis for the Ecommerce business. The position will report to the Sr. Director of Digital and will be based in Philadelphia, PA.
The E-commerce Business Planner is responsible for forecasting and analyzing Demand through Net Sales for Anthropologie Group. This individual will provide forecasts on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual basis. Forecasts will impact staffing at Fulfillment Centers and Stores to deliver product to customers. The Business Planner will drive promotional conversations through forecasts of impact to demand. Additionally, the planner will forecast and analyze cancel rates, return rates and delivery income to provide a complete picture of Net Sales.
Responsibilities
• Manage DTC Demand & Net Sales financial plans
◦ Create daily/weekly/monthly Demand, Returns, Delivery Income and Net Sales budgets and forecasts
◦ Drive promotional marketing conversations based on forecasts to budget
◦ Monitor Cancel and Return Rates and drive operational reasons for spikes down.
• Manage forecasts down to an order/units level
◦ Communicate forecasted daily orders with Fulfillment Centers to assist with staffing
◦ Forecast daily orders for retail stores and ensure staffing can support our expectations. Oversee allocation system set up to ensure stores are assigned the correct number of orders/units.
◦ Forecast return units for Fulfillment Centers
• Analyze DTC product performance by reporting on which divisions and categories are driving DTC demand through Net Sales
• Create annual top line traffic, conversion, and AOV plans for total business, by marketing channel and by country
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, or similar
• Experience in financial planning & analysis or Merchandise Planning (4+ years)
• Experience Retail and/or Ecommerce highly preferred
• Strong quantitative analysis skills and advanced Excel skills a must.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, “self-starter” environment serving as a catalyst for change and managing multiple work streams simultaneously.
• Ability to work with colleagues through a positive, collaborative, and transparent inter-personal approach
