Sr. Vendor Relations & Compliance Manager
Overview
The selected individual will be responsible for improving the business relationship between internal stakeholders of URBN and external partners. Job functions include partnering with Internal Operations, Production, Distribution Centers, and acting as direct support to our vendors with respect to the use of Tradestone, and all other company requirements.
Responsibilities
Tradestone (PO Management/PLM System)
• Responsible for scheduling and executing vendor training
• Assist vendors with all questions concerning our requirements, policies and procedures
• Work directly with the vendor and Tradestone support team to resolve specific training and process issues
• Assist buyers with PO management questions relating to Tradestone
Vendor Communication
• Assist with the drafting of vendor communication and responsible for the sending of email blasts
Vendor Exceptions
• Responsible for maintaining and updating the vendor exceptions list
Shortage Disputes / Unit Variances
• Assist in the evaluation and reconciliation of unit variance requests, while acting as direct support to internal partners and external vendors
• Authorize payment and maintain detailed record of all unit variance requests
New Vendor Registration
• Gain a working knowledge of the vendor registration process, to serve in a support role as needed
Other Tasks
• Develop and present monthly reports on an as needed basis
• Support areas managing vendor relations as needed
Qualifications
• College degree, or at least 2 years of college and two years of related experience
• Strong Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Prior experience in production or retail environment
• Ability to execute objectives that support multiple departments
• Excellent communication, phone, and writing skills
• Ability to effectively manage time and adapt to an everchanging environment
• Must be comfortable interacting with diverse groups of suppliers
• Ability to work with multiple computer programs
PC Application Skills
• Intermediate level: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
• PLM system experience preferred
