Overview
The Communications Manager, Creative Visual Merchandising will develop and deploy compelling communication and web content to support the Global CVM creative message. This individual will produce all content for CVM creative campaign directives, collection directives and all other related materials. S/he will oversee and manage all aspects of photography and photo editing for all CVM documents and materials.
Responsibilities
The Communications Manager will oversee design and management of Global CVM Directives. This individual will produce all CVM directives and related materials through close partnership with the CVM Creative team and Regions to ensure objectives are met and on brand in-store execution. S/he will own, maintain and update InDesign template to create all CVM documents. S/he will guide the development work through with oversight of photography, photo editing and all aspects of document production to ensure high quality and timely deliverables.
This individual will be responsible for cross-functional project management. S/he will develop and manage communication of all Global CVM content to departments across the organization to ensure clear and consistent messaging and direction, with one unified voice. S/he will address and identify workflow and key resources required to respond to inquires that are centralized in the CVM mailbox. S/he will oversee the development, administration and maintenance of the CVM website in SharePoint and all other CVM web-based systems and content. In addition, this individual will ensure sites are updated on a regular basis and are aligned with the current CVM message. S/he will own and maintain the communication calendar to develop timelines and ensure resources are properly allocated to meet the required deadlines leading up to global installations.
S/he will manage the technical and creative operations. S/he will maintain knowledge of best practices and developments in SharePoint technologies, communication mediums, and apply these to recommend continuous improvement. Additionally, the Communications Manager will utilize technical expertise to make recommendations that will facilitate process improvement as well as source technology, tools and innovative solutions to improve the directive process. S/he will collaborate with visual merchandising manager to execute photo review of all visual installations. S/he will identify opportunities to integrate feedback into future directives to continually enhance and elevate the quality of in-store installations. S/he will oversee the organization, cleanliness and effectiveness of the imaging studio. S/he will ensure all photography equipment is maintained and current. Lastly, this individual will support special projects as needed.
S/he will play a leadership role including managing and coaching a direct report. S/he will demonstrate leadership within the department and organization through supporting teamwork, gaining agreement from others with or without direct authority, and motivate others by leading by example.
Qualifications
• At least 7-10 years experience visual display, communication or visual merchandising-preferably luxury retail.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional organization skills.
• Advanced capabilities in Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Extensive photo shop skills and basic knowledge of photography.
• Ambitious, flexible, out-going, enthusiastic.
• Able to work cross-functionally to present ideas and information to group.
• Graphic Design/Design experience.
• Comfortable in and appreciative of a luxury retail setting.
• Basic knowledge of jewelry and jewelry display a plus.
