Manager Business Planning, Partner Program
Purpose
The Partner Program is at the forefront of creating a new digitally led adidas. By fostering a results oriented, fast moving & data driven culture, the Partner Program team is continually Creating The New. This new role will be pivotal in the continued growth and overall success of the Partner Program. The Business Planning Manger will own and drive business planning strategies, financial forecasts, and the Strategic Business Plan (SBP) for the Partner Program. We’re looking for a talented business manager and cross-functional partner who can identify opportunities and work through evolving challenges in an effective and collaborative way.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development & revision of the Strategic Business Plan (SBP) including all key stakeholders (Finance, Strategy, eCom, Wholesale).
• Act as the subject matter expert on the overarching adidas SBP and present Partner Program updates to senior leadership & other internal stakeholders when necessary.
• Ensure business planning effectively supports the Partner Program growth strategy and SBP by collaborating with analytics, merchandising, demand planning and finance teams.
• Submit & revise monthly pre-season & in-season financial guidance and forecasts to demand planning, finance & wholesale partners by account, ensuring a forecasting accuracy.
• Lead pre-season receipt guidance and post-season hindsight to drive sales and buy plans.
• Continue to develop and define business planning processes, timelines & infrastructure to provide clear direction to merchandising, finance & account management teams as well as ensure the scalability of the Partner Program.
• Prepare recommendations and alternatives based on financial analysis for the business in order to maximize sales, margin and PPU/DCC.
• Work collaboratively with the Partner Program business development team in order to offer data driven-guidance and recommendation to support our future partner rollout planning that is in line with our financial targets as well as identifying key trends and business drivers.
• Collaborate with merchandising teams to guide management of inventory and OTB
• Continually challenge the status quo, think differently and push boundaries.
Key Relationships
• Partner Program specific teams (Business Development, Account Management, Merchandising, Operations, etc)
• adidas US Marketing teams (Business Units, Sales, Planning, Finance, Merchandising, etc)
• eCommerce & wholesale teams (Analytics, Operations, Merch, etc.)
• adidas US and Global DBC functions for implementation of new processes and tools, work stream results, etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across organization functions and levels.
• Expert Excel skills.
• High degree of flexibility and comfort with managing multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously.
• Ability to prioritize and collaborate within a complex, ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
• Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with strong planning and organization skills.
• Strong conceptual thinking and pragmatic approach to localizing and developing concepts, tools, processes and systems.
• Able to participate and confidently provide quantitative and qualitative input.
• Analytical mindset, innovative thinker, and a collaborator.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and create reporting tools from data.
• Experience in eCom planning and/or retail math.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Minimum of 4-6 years of professional work experience
2. Degree from college/university or equivalent combination of experience and education in lieu of degree; advanced degree a plus
3. eCommerce and or omnichannel experience a plus
4. Experience in planning & forecasting
5. Experience in data management and extraction a plus
