JOB SUMMARY:
Primarily accountable for implementing and executing marketing objectives, plans and programs for the brands. This includes partnering with RBD for OPEX and leading assortments, promotions, positioning, merchandising, advertising, media planning (if applicable),and Marketing Associates. Ensures, coordinates and follows-up on field execution. Evaluates results and provides feedback to RBD.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
1. Ensures Customer and Market Growth:
Implement Marketing plan for Brand:
• Works with RBD and ASMs to implement marketing objectives, plans and budgets
• Considers global Brand objectives and offerings, marketing guidelines, cost of goods/pricing objectives, manufacturing feasibility, distribution specificities, and regional/competitive trends to:
Formulate marketing and sales objectives in partnership with RBD
Make product selection and assortment recommendations.
Makes decisions on promotional items (including collateral) and creative concepts.
Develop marketing and media (if applicable) plans and calendars.
• Collaborates with the Integrated Marketing Teams (Consumer Engagement, Consumer Insights, Social/Digital Team) in order to execute online and social media marketing campaigns by proactively identifying opportunities to digitally engage consumer.
◦ Works with Consumer Engagement & Digital Team and NY TRWW team to execute strategic digital and social media campaigns.
• Reviews, analyzes, and suggests discontinuations and recommendations for existing products.
• Receives NY guidelines and analyzes forecasts for new products and shares recommendation with RBD.
• Develop Regional Assortment based on COG thresholds, discontinuations, item restrictions.
• Works with sales team on customized assortments.
• Forecasts promotional materials and reviews with RBD
• Assists in the development of fiscal year budgets. Reviews with RBD.
• Manages Marketing budget alongside RBD.
Spearheads marketing research and analysis:
• Prepares Brand category performance analysis.
• Conducts post launch evaluation analysis of major programs
Promotes and protects Brand identity:
• Ensures that Brand image and position are property maintained in people and materials, in accordance with corporate standards for implementation.
2. Manages Operational Effectiveness:
• Oversees process and ensures strong execution of Brand marketing plans/calendars and major launches.
• Assists ASMs to manage all marketing activities associated with new door, special events, launches, and marketing calendars.
• Works with Visual Merchandising and TR New York to implement Advertising Campaigns outside our stores.
• Allocates sellable and promotional items (including collateral/visual merchandizing) and advertising materials.
• Represents marketing at sales & marketing meetings.
• Supports RBD and ASMs to develop trade presentations and strong sell-through systems.
• Helps develop sales cycle material to meet specific distribution requirements; follows up with TR Marketing in NY and suppliers for locally produced items.
• Oversees Lachen Promotional reserve for successfully execution and to avoid excess.
3. Improves Business Processes:
• Evaluates proposals and makes recommendations regarding promotions, media and advertising choices and reviews with RBD if applicable.
• Interfaces with sales force and visits stores on a periodic basis. Solicits and compiles feedback from field personnel as it relates to proposed programs.
4. Leads and Develops People:
• Provides guidance and management to the team.
• Clearly communicates priorities and required results with team.
• Shapes environment to foster open communication and teamwork.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS.
• Bachelor's degree required. Masters is a plus
• 4+ years of relevant marketing or marketing-related experience, preferably in the cosmetics/fragrance business (in a similar or related industry)
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Fully bilingual, English & Spanish (Read, Write, and Speak) required. Portuguese a plus
• Digital- Social Media experience preferred.
• Strong Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Office & MAC). Illustrator and Photoshop experience preferred.
