BUSINESS IMPACT STATEMENT
This position will lead strategic development of Kohl’s digital media plans. They will be responsible for driving the business through superior digital media strategies and tactics as well as collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to keep Kohl’s at the forefront of digital media tactics. This position requires superior communication and coaching skills to effectively tell the Kohl’s digital story as well as build a world-class team to execute that vision.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead omni-channel digital media strategy
• Strong background in omni-channel digital planning and execution
• Must understand how to orchestrate digital media to achieve business outcomes
• Possess a strong POV and be able to articulate it to Senior level executives
• Development of a digital media roadmap for testing and innovation with a proven track record of driving these projects to completion
Manage Associates
• Have the capability to lead cross-functional digital teams
• Display strong leadership qualities
• Have a passion for team building and provides feedback, coaching, individual development plans to direct reports and wider team
• Possess executive presence and build credibility amongst senior executives
• Has high standards and holds themselves and their team accountable to meet those standards
• Manages direct reports, systems and projects to achieve unit goals in accordance with Company policies and practice
• Manage relationship with key external partners (ex. agency, strategic media partners, etc.)
Media Proficiency
• Lead practitioner and strategist in the following digital media channel/tactics: SEM, SEO, Display and Video (both programmatic and direct IO), Paid Social and Affiliates
• Lead working in and understand the capabilities of key ad tech - Doubleclick Campaign Manager, DCO, DSPs, Doubleclick Search, Impact Radius, Social platforms, etc.
• Stays current with marketplace advancements and incorporates these into digital media plans
• Mastery of media planning fundamentals (ex. reach based planning, headroom/sizing development, planning guideline development, planning goal creation, etc.).
• Creates and guides superior audience/targeting strategies that drive the business
Technical Acumen
• Lead technical aspects critical to the success of the team (ex. taxonomy development, data on-boarding, data collection strategies, etc.)
• Deep understanding of analytical tools including multi-touch attribution with an emphasis on how to interpret and activate results
• Develop strategies to utilize a DMP to maximize media productivity
Collaboration
• Work closely with internal technology and analytics teams to support paid digital vision
• Work closely with internal ecommerce teams to develop plans that achieve ecommerce business objectives
• Champion cross-functional work and work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• BA/BS, Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science or related degree
• 7+ years of Digital experience for a high volume transaction environment
• Working knowledge and usage of website traffic analytics software (Google Analytics, Omniture)
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Previous experience leading Digital Teams
Preferred
• Advanced degree in Computer Science and/or advanced Mathematics
• Proven ability to accomplish high impact projects in a large organization.
• Experience working for a high impact search site (Google, Yahoo, MSN)
• Ability to work with IT in the design and development of natural search
• Ability to develop frameworks, processes and protocols
