The Accounting Manager will effectively manage the day-to-day activities within the treasury function to meet the financial obligations of the organization in both the U.S. and the U.K. This individual will help develop the treasury function into one that is impactful and forward thinking and fully supports the financial requirements of the company. This position will assist the Senior Finance Manager to mitigate risk, forecast and predict cash flow, help plan our financing and capital structure and work with upper management on treasury activities related to cash flow, borrowing, debt, and reporting. This position will help in reporting on investigating and implementing ways to improve the company’s cash conversion cycle, which will require analysis of current cash cycle and ultimately partnering with senior leadership to implement changes. This individual should have a proven record of effectively managing and developing people and providing guidance to gain efficiencies through improved processes and procedures. The Accounting Manager drives special projects/department goals to completion and ensures they are successful. This position supports the Senior Finance Manager in building and maintaining effective business 3rd party relationships with our banking partners, credit card processors and auditors.

Company Interfaces:
Reports directly to the Senior Finance Manager and supervises a staff of five. Internally, the position will interface with all levels, with primary contacts being IT, Customer Service, Retail, and Marketing. Externally, the position will actively interface with Bank of America, PaymenTech, and audit firms among others.
Key Performance Measurements:
• Banking – Ensure the daily cash needs of the organization are satisfied, and all required reporting is filed timely. Track and forecast all relevant bank metrics.
• Quality – Work with and develop a compliance accounting staff of five, to ensure continued accurate and timely accounting of capital expenditures, cash, prepaid expenses, taxes, and rents.
• Assist senior management in developing the treasury function into a Global Treasury Department by identifying and executing opportunities to expand the role, process and procedural Improvements, enhanced technologies, and develop/maintain strategic relationships.
General Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all cash, credit card, Paypal and other payment activity.
• Ensure all banking documents are filed timely and accurately.
• Monitor and take over cash flow projections.
• Closely manage our banking agreements and work closely with 3rd party payment processors to analyze and monitor related costs.
• Minimize financing costs and interest, monitor fx hedge contracts and cash sweep accounts.
• Maintain and report on gift cards liability and issuance.
• Assist on yearly financial, banking audits.
• Produce cash related journal entries for month end close.
• Maintain charge back reporting.
• Work closely with IT and other parties on implementation, monitoring and testing of new payment types.
• Special Projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
• Cash Management, banking, payment processing, and service charge and processing fee analysis experience required.
• Oracle and AS/400 experience preferred.
• Experience with banking agreements and related reporting.
• 4 yr college degree.
• Expert level Excel user and good experience and knowledge of Access with the ability to import and export data between applications.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and be flexible in dealing with unusual or unstructured situations.
• Ability to remain customer service oriented and to maintain a positive and professional company image
