This position is responsible for the development of content and messaging to support key campaigns. This individual will develop content for sales collateral such as brochures, flyers, websites, email campaigns, trade show graphics, press releases, advertisements, social media, etc. Additionally, this individual assists in the development of strategies to maximize the reach of new content to key target audiences. The Content Specialist helps develop and maintain a content marketing strategy and content publishing schedule. This individual will also assist with creating, reviewing, and editing other materials as needed.
PRIMARY OUTCOMES
• Support marketing communication activities such as advertising, public relations, events and trade shows, web and social media. In addition, support internal communications efforts across the enterprise.
Role and Responsibilities
• Create engaging content that can be purposed for a for a variety of platforms including, but not limited to, social media, marketing collateral, email campaigns, web, and press releases
• Conceptualize and create innovative content to be used for marketing campaigns
• Maintain an editorial calendar that is aligned with the overall marketing activity plans (MAPs)
• Manage the social media presence across all Henkels & McCoy Group (HMG) companies
• Adhere to SEO best practices and ensure all relevant content is appropriately keyword-optimized
• Conduct regular audits, reviews, and reporting to measure content performance across relevant and actionable KPIs
• Ensure HMG image and presence is consistent and connected across all subsidiaries and markets served
• Seek opportunities and create releationships that increase HMG brand awareness and engagement
• Stays current on communications and industry-related developments and best practices
Major job elements (MJEs)
• Develop content for sales collateral such as brochures, flyers, websites, email campaigns, trade show graphics, press releases, advertisements, social media, etc.
• Maintain a content marketing strategy and content publishing schedule
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree. Background in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
• 3-5 years of experience of marketing communications, content development, or corporate marketing
• History of delivering effective B2B marketing strategies for traditional, social, and digital marketing
• Strong background in content creation
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills combined with good technical understanding and experience in business communications
machines, equipment & computer skills
• Understand software, hardware, networks, etc., along with Microsoft Office, online survey tools and syndicated data sources.
Preferred Skills
Experience in a construction, heavy industrial or related industry preferred. Previous experience in the power or energy industry preferred.
