Digital Designer: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family
As a Digital Designer, your main responsibility is the design, creation, and delivery of a range of cross-product digital designs. This can be anything from apparel, footwear, and packs. It involves working closely with Brand Designer, Product Managers and other stakeholders within the R&D facility to create new product lines. The role could involve taking a simple hand-drawn illustration and turning into a digital product using Photoshop and/or other Adobe creative suite software.
How You Will Make a Difference:
• The full project lifecycle – from brief to proof of concept
• Working collaboratively with Brand Designers and Product Managers to deliver digital output of the highest quality and to brief
• Staying on track with emerging digital trends and culture, attending events and engaging with the wider digital creative community
• Articulating and presenting creative ideas/treatments to Brand teams and internal supply chain or 3rd party vendors.
• Create an on-trend portfolio showcasing innovative design concepts and provide visual presentable content
Skills for Success:
Educational/ Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Graphic Design, or Textiles, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
• Years of experience are not a prerequisite. Instead, it is all about your creative and design capability and demonstrable experience. The types of project size you’ve worked on, your knowledge of emerging trends and the fundamentals of graphic design are key.
• A robust portfolio of digital design
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (this could include Flash, After Effects and Illustrator)
• Ability to conceptualize brand campaigns, set, & maintain strategy
• Ability to eloquently & objectively critique design
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail is a must
• Proficient in the following software applications: Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Keynote, InVision, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, & Excel
• Proven understanding of graphic design and color
• High attention to detail
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
• Travel as required 15% amount of time.
