GENERAL FUNCTION The Senior eCommerce Manager oversees retail brand's online sales and presence. The Sr. eCommerce Manager conveys a consistent brand image that attracts customers, encouraging sales on the Web, and customer acquisition for brick & mortar stores. Actively contributes to brand’s online strategy definition and owns strategy execution. The Senior Manager oversees daily operations of the sites and drives revenue growth and customer satisfaction. Develops product, merchandising, marketing, and creative strategies, focused on improving conversion, usability and the functionality of eCommerce products and services. Raises organizational awareness of emerging market opportunities, customer needs, and the relevant competitive landscape.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maximizes Revenue & Margin from goods through online sales.
• Oversees proper procedures for handling & sales of eCommerce merchandise.
• Analyzes sales & expense reports to improve margin, revenue, and processes.
• Implements & maintains procedures to maximize efficiencies in production, sales and customer service.
• Ensures proper adherence of online stores to policies & procedures.
• Maximizes sales performance through proper listing, handling, rotation, and shipping of all merchandise.
• Provides counsel concerning retail operations to support strategic development and improvements in growth and effectiveness.
• Gains a thorough understanding of customer needs, both existing and potential.
• Liaises with digital business efforts, customers and partners to understand their business needs. Delivers solutions to meet those needs.
• Manages development & execution of strategic store integration initiatives, ensuring optimal connectivity between field stores and the organization’s eCommerce site.
• Manages ongoing improvements to existing digital business functionality.
• Implements recommendations for catalog optimization.
• Drives the development of new features, programs and services for online stores.
• Monitors marketplace products, service offerings and pricing; leverages internal and external data sources to identify gaps/opportunities in current catalog.
• Partners with the Marketing, Sales and Product teams, supports the strategic planning, testing, and execution of initiatives for the eCommerce site.
• Coaches & mentors a team to achieve objectives.
• Monitors & analyzes the overall health of the eCommerce business as well as performance of program KPIs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related
• 7+ years of experience
• Experience of direct and digital marketing. Knowledge of Ecommerce business models, specifically how to drive eCommerce sales through innovative, effective and cost efficient marketing/merchandising programs and strategies
• Strong background in customer acquisition, re-engagement and retention strategies
• Confident and articulate communicator capable of inspiring strong collaboration in an organization
• Proven skills managing complex processes with multiple business owners
• Knowledge of the digital ecosystem & how eCommerce, web, mobile, social, search and channels work together to optimize behavior and acquisition
• Problem solver with results-driven approach
• Knowledge of online marketing tactics (SEO, SEM, Email)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Retail industry experience
• Familiarity with SQL, Google Analytics or similar tools
• Experience managing people
